Let it snow!

It is winter. It is supposed to be winter, anyway. It seems as if we no longer have winter here. I can’t remember the last time we had snow. We dream of snow, we eagerly await winter weather. Does it ever come? No.

Joshua has had a brand new sled for three years now. It has never been used. We have never had any snow to use it in. Every year, we get the sled out, and hope and dream. So far, no luck. Our wishes and dreams haven’t come true.

What we seem to have is spring weather. Here, it is in the 50’s. It isn’t even cold at night, it gets down into the 30’s. For several days, the humidity was up and I was miserable. I dread the onset of the hot and humid weather. I cannot tolerate the heat since I have gotten older. I want to go where it is cool all the time. (More wishing.)

If anyone reading this can spare some snow, send me some.

Send snow.

The new year is here. Okay, it has been here for nearly two weeks, but I am just now catching on, it seems.

I do not make New Year Resolutions. I never have. Why? I don’t know. I suppose the whole idea just seems odd to me, and the biggest reason is that the people that I know that make them never, ever keep them. So, what is the point in even wasting the energy and thought time on making them?

What is the difference between a New Year Resolution and a goal? I don’t really know. They both seem to be basically the same thing. I do set goals for myself, and I usually achieve them. I have to be careful to make goals that are reachable, and not set goals that are too difficult for me or that are not quickly accomplished. I am not the kind of person to work six months on something. I lose interest too easily. I am a short-term person. Do it and get it done. One month is about as far as I can reach for a goal.

There are a few things that I really must get done. One is getting this darn F key back on my computer. I have become so used to using my computer without the F key, that I had actually forgotten that it was missing until I was cleaning up my old posts and saw one that mentioned it.

Perhaps I will make one resolution. Get an F key put on my computer.
